Hen on the shore

Much of my work is influenced by the surrounding Chilterns countryside with trees and floral motifs featuring heavily in my work alongside holiday inspired pieces with coastal and seaside themes. All of my work is individually handmade from sheet glass, crushed glass, powders and glass rods. Pieces are then fired in a kiln up to 3 times to achieve the desired outcome. 

 

I typically use a lower temperature when firing in the kiln which gives my pieces their tactile quality and enhances the detail in the work. I also offer workshops where participants can create their own handmade glass pieces as well as taking on commissions for bespoke pieces.
