Born just north of London in 1980 and trained in Graphic Art and Advertising, Dene draws on a lifelong passion for composition, geometry and creative expression to create striking original paintings and sculptures that push the boundaries of form and colour.
Dene’s work ranges from meticulously ordered, geometric pieces to dynamic, free-form abstractions — a style he describes as a bi-polar approach to the canvas, balancing structure with spontaneity. Each piece is the result of an organic creative process that sees multiple works in progress at once, evolving through intuitive play, unexpected textures and refined design choices.
His art has been showcased and collected across the UK and internationally, earning recognition for its energy, depth and unique visual language.
